Not a sci-fi film or some new discovery in quantum physics, but my latest quilt
This is the top of a lap quilt I am making as a birthday gift. I love the tumbler shape but I wanted to give it a more modern look. I used a tumbler template to cut the shapes for the columns using various scraps and stash fabrics and added borders in Kona "snow". The grey solid is Kona "slate". I am still undecided on how to quilt and bind it but will let you know in a few weeks.

Here are some close-ups of the patterned sections. A lot of the scraps are from Petit Pan, a really cool French fabric and interior shop.
