Hi, I'm Rosie. I am originally from England and I live with my family (husband, two little boys and two cats) in Basel, Switzerland.

I am passionate about quilting. I love the fact that it is easy to get started and you don't have to be an haute couture seamstress to get great results. I love choosing fabric and putting together pattern and colour combinations. I design my own quilts and am always on the lookout for new ideas. As a mother of two young children, I don't have as much time to sew as I would like (who does??) but I never run out of things to do. Please have a look at my gallery to see some of my quilts.

Before I moved to Basel, I lived in Munich for over 12 years and I also spent some time living in Japan. The name "mukiyo" comes from a combination of Munich, Tokyo and Kyoto, cities that all have a place in my heart.
