Bargello Baby Quilt

This is my only really "traditional" quilt. I wanted to try out a Bargello quilt so I made one for my younger son just before he was born.

I used a selection of eight blue fabrics ranging from dark to light. A couple of basics (gingham and dots) and the rest from a range of different manufacturers. The dark blue fabric with the little person catching stars is one of my favourite fabrics for children and is made by the German company, Westfalenstoffe.

I did simple straight line quilting in a diamond pattern. I used yellow chalk to mark the lines which was a big mistake as it did not wash out very well!
